The CASE Toolkit
CASE ACADEMY focuses on the development of four critical elements that children need to gain control of their future success. These are Communication, Attitude, Skills and Effort (CASE). The program is tailored to the individual’s athletic, intellectual, vocational or artistic interests to ensure continued participation through adolescence. Since the child is engaged in activities they have chosen, commitment level and creativity are greater than compulsory activities mandated by school curriculum. Directed application of the four critical elements together with aptitude testing, cultural awareness, etiquette, financial literacy and job procurement strategies provide the individual with a broad perspective of the life choices they can make to achieve their personal goals and become a productive member of society.
CASE fundamentals provide the individual with a tool kit to use in their daily lives. It clarifies the requirements for personal responsibility and accountability in a manner they can understand and apply. The program uses short-term, measurable challenges to allow the individual to recognize growth. This leads to more self –directed activities with the end goal being the development of financially independent, confident and productive individuals who have control over their futures.

“Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something” – Plato
Effective communicators know their audience, use vocabulary to concisely convey or extract information, understand the value of tone, inflection and non-verbal cues, and utilize the power of persuasion and civil conflict resolution. CASE aims to give participants the tools and confidence needed to communicate with the vast majority of people they come in contact with – from peers to teachers and coaches. Eloquent, effective verbal communication paired with positive body language and thoughtful written correspondence gives an individual the tools to get their point across effectively. It also helps shape their persona, gaining respect of everyone with whom they come in contact.

“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” – Zig Ziglar
When faced with a challenge or obstacle, you can fear the encounter because it may require you to endure pain or emotional investment that puts you in physical or social risk. Conversely, you could attack the challenge or obstacle as an opportunity for personal growth. We call the difference in approach a conscious choice to “Survive or Excel”. Inquisitiveness, sensitivity , resilience, assertiveness, confidence and in general – positivity, are attributes independent, productive individuals with self-esteem possess. Individuals with positive attitudes and high emotional intelligence are valued by professional organizations that provide employment because they are essential to the development of effective team culture. CASE ACADEMY strives to assist the individual to develop the tools to achieve economic independence.

“No matter how talented you are, your talent will fail you if you’re not skilled. Skill is achievement through practice. Work hard and dedicate yourself to being better every single day.” – Will Smith
Identification & development of skill sets are table stakes for people entering the competitive world economy. CASE evaluates children’s educational proficiency levels and implements corrective action plans or enrichment programs to ensure core competencies are achieved. Interpersonal skills, problem solving, goal setting strategies, and leadership training are sharpened through athletic, academic and community service programming.

“No matter how far you get ahead of me, I’m going to catch you. That’s my mentality.” – Usain Bolt
The CASE core competencies are polished by instilling an appreciation of work ethic (Effort). This is done through goal setting, planning, and competition where the objective is to improve your personal best and to measure growth. Individuals learn how to apply a Consistent, Persistent and Relentless (CPR) approach to setting and achieving goals. We believe that to maximize an individual’s potential, they must be challenged physically, intellectually and emotionally in a supportive environment. This builds pride, self-confidence and an assertive approach to new situations and stretch assignments. Fear is replaced by an attacking mentality and can-do spirit that allows the individual to focus on the task at hand rather than the fear of failure.
